At our 2025 Animal Advocates: Compassion for Creatures Big and Small, Campers will explore how they can care for animals at home and in their communities by understanding their needs and emotions. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and expert guest speakers. Through exciting stories, creative crafts, and hands-on activities, campers will explore the fascinating world of animals. Each day brings a new "animal adventure," where they'll discover everything from understanding dog and cat body language to learning about wildlife and basic pet care. It’s the perfect blend of learning and play for our young animal lovers!
When: Monday -Friday, July 7-11 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
What's Included:
- Camp Activities: A variety of animal-themed activities, including arts & crafts, empathy-building games, and animal-related educational lessons.
- Shelter Pet Interactions: Daily opportunities to meet and interact with shelter dogs and cats, plus occasional visits from other animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and more!
- Guest Speakers: Special guest speakers from the animal care community, sharing their expertise and knowledge of different species and specialties with your campers.
- T-Shirt: A Camp Humane t-shirt for every camper to wear proudly.
- Daily Snacks: Healthy, delicious snacks provided to keep kids energized throughout the day.
- Camp Counselors: Experienced, compassionate Humane Educators and trained volunteers who ensure a safe and fun experience for every camper.
- Materials & Supplies: All necessary materials for arts and crafts, games, and other camp activities.
- Field Trip: Campers will take a field trip on the Friday of their camp week!
